emmitt {seven months}

*Mama's been a little delinquent with the ol' monthly update . . . sorry, little one.
(8 more days and you'll be 8 months! EEK!)

. . . 

At seven months you . . .

. . . have rekindled your relationship with your mani (pacifier).  For about a month it was merely a chew toy, but lately you are feeling the love once again.

. . . are on the MOVE, and we've got the video to prove it!  You are army crawling it up, baby.  The past couple of weeks you've been getting up on your knees and forearms and rocking back and forth and back and forth with your big baby booty in the air.  You rock and you rock until it looks like you're going to just BLAST OFF, and then it's back to your tummy to pull your little self all over the place.  It's pretty stinking cute. 

. . . have tried a couple of other new foods this month including green beans and peas (always a fav with your big bros when they were little dudes, not so much with you, Baby E).  We still get the gag, head shake, squinty eyes fuss action with anything on a spoon.  You're still not sold on solids and prefer mama's milk over anything. 

. . . have TWO teeth.  TWO!!  Both on the bottom and sharp as ever! Yikes!  Just after your first one popped up last month, your second one started coming in right next to it.  You're a bit ahead of big bro one and two, who both got their first teeth at 8+ months old.

. . . are super bashful!  Anytime someone comes up to you to say hello, you smile SO BIG and then promptly bury your head into mama's shoulder.  So very sweet. 

. . . are working on sitting up but haven't quite mastered it yet (mom says it might be your 90th percentile noggin that is making you a bit of a bobble head baby).  You're so close, though!

. . . have gained a little more than a pound this month and are fitting nicely into 6-9 month clothes and size 2 diapers.  Way to grow, baby!

. . . take two pretty good naps during the day (you snooze the best in your carseat in route to dropping off/picking up big brothers).  As long as you're full and dry, you sleep pretty great at night, too.

. . .  love to listen to yourself talk.  It's baby opera over here as you learn to use your voice. 

. . . love hanging in your Ergo carrier on Mom or Dad's chest, cruising upright in the stroller and bouncing away in the Jumperoo (as long as there's something to chew on within reach).

. . . will fall asleep in Daddy's arms when he bounces you a bit and says, "Whoa whoa whoa whoa."  Bounce, "whoa," repeat.  Works like a charm and is pretty sweet to watch. 

. . . still have to taste test EVERYTHING within reach (which has become a bit more complicated as you have turned into baby on the move). 

We are LOVING this stage with you, sweet boy!
